Yeah, my sister gets one every five days. They wear paper masks over their N95s and disinfect them at the end of the day. I have an N 95 and that’s it. I’d always assumed one mask would do the job. Is it because they aren’t designed for it, over-caution or masks aren’t that useful? For example, a patient has COVID-19 and breaths on you and the mask and face shield are contaminated. Well, okay…they’re on the Official April Girls 2020 Mask Quarantined Coronavirus Shirt. But how could that jump to another patient? Especially if the gowns/gloves are swapped out in between patients? Maybe all the patients have COVID, but perhaps one patient has strep, one has bacterial pneumonia, one has candidiasis, etc. PPE is to protect the caretaker from the patient, yes- but also to protect the other patients from cross-contamination from the caretaker and from the caretaker themselves.

It’s not as if there’s a whole lot of Eskimo kissing going on in hospitals… Well, I can’t speak for Alaska, but for the rest of the country, at least… My hospital is wack. We get ONE N95 mask for the Official April Girls 2020 Mask Quarantined Coronavirus Shirt. The only reason we got N95 masks is. That 2 nurses on my floor got COVID. Before that my hospital refused to even give us droplet masks. People are being urged to wear masks outside their home more for the chance they are already infected, not as much as personal protection.
