I only ever played it on the N64 so I am beyond excited about this! Plus I never played Sunshine so it’s definitely an instant buy for me! On one hand, I can believe this rumor given how many sources are agreeing about it being true and how it correlates to Emily Rogers saying that this was “a good year to be a plumber”. I just came back to Galaxy 2 after putting the I Pause My Game To Be Here Vintage Shirt down for years. I was like, “Why did I ever stop playing this?” An hour later, I found out why. This game is way harder than the first. Very rewarding though. My experience though was loving the shit out of Galaxy and never completing the second one as it felt too similar. The Yoshi stuff was interesting enough but it felt more like DLC.

Getting to know and understand Rosalina trough exploring her space station. And her storybook was my favorite part of the galaxy. Easily my favorite Mario character. With galaxy 2, my disappointment was immeasurable. It was certainly a fun game, but it didn’t have the charm of the original. It was the same, but less. Yeah, I also missed the observatory. The more streamlined approach in the I Pause My Game To Be Here Vintage Shirt lacked a lot of the charm that made the original memorable for me. IIRC, a lot of people thought Rosalina’s sub-plot was unnecessary, but I too thought learning about her origin’s through the storybooks was neat and sometimes heart-wrenching.

Unnecessary? It was one of the best parts of the game! It is probably the closest thing to “lore” we will ever have in a Mario game and people go shit on it?? That’s it I’m going to bu the I Pause My Game To Be Here Vintage Shirt. Yeah, holy shit. Her story time helped drive me to finish the game. It brought 20 years old me to tears when it was done. The unfolding of everything made it so much more than just creative levels to complete. I bought galaxy 1 and 2 at the same time and when I finished 1 I had high expectations for 2. I think the levels might have been as good or better on 2 but there was no relief to break up the levels. Rosalina offered a break while simultaneously giving you a reason to keep forging ahead.
