It’s great that she’s ambitious and enthusiastic about STEM, and those are very impressive accomplishments! However, it’s inaccurate to say she’s already started her astronaut training. Space Camp and Space Academy are the Official Astronaut It’s 420 Somewhere Shirt camps that you pay to attend, not actual training programs. To actually start astronaut training with NASA there are requirements like having a master’s in a STEM field and years of professional experience. I agree, I was aware of her before this posting. I absolutely adore how much knowledge she has and her drive.

She is really awesome. I recommend following her journey. Regardless I’m sure we’d all be tickled fucking pink if she gets to walk on Mars. I’m too old to participate in any of this but by god, I want to know someone did it in my lifetime. I like to think of it as the Mars landing of our Official Astronaut It’s 420 Somewhere Shirt. Something so groundbreaking and ambitious that, while it certainly stood on the shoulders of past accomplishments, it’s such a leap forward that it lacks an analog. I really really wish it comes true. Humans on Mars filmed in 8k and a permanent Moon base would be hella dope.

She’s doing great, but she’s got a long way to go.
