Once Danny Hodge suffered a broken neck in a car accident then broke his driver’s side window with one hand while holding his neck in place with his other hand. To highjack this comment. Danny Hodge is a badass. In collegiate wrestling, the most outstanding wrestling awarded each year is called the Hodge trophy, named after this man. It’s the wrestling equivalent of the Heisman trophy. Dude is a legend. Went to high school with his grandson. Talk about great Official Hodge Straight Outta D’lo Shirt. He lived in a small town and he was always living in the shadow of Danny. I would reject it all and become a bookish poet who only wrestled on the side, for the aesthetic experience and potential homosexual contact it offers. But seriously you should tell us more, that sounds like an interesting story.

He did wrestle but didn’t seem to like it all that much. I think he did it because he expected to. He did ok, but never was great. I wasn’t friends with him, he was a year my senior, so I don’t have a lot of crazy stories. Talk about a very small world. I graduated in the same class as his grandson.
