I came into the comments to find the expected Sabaton reference. And I saw the top comment and as I was reading it. Then I saw out of the corner of my eye that the comment chain following your comment was in all caps,. And I knew I’d found it. It’s a shame Knott’s Berry Farm doesn’t have this Official Snoopy ‘Merica Shirt as a little show. I’ve occasionally seen flags with the red baron… Just hire a drone flyer. Small note, bc I only realized this a couple of years ago, but pilot Snoopy is not the called the red baron. Snoopy with the pilot goggles and stuff is just known as the WWI flying ace. He fights against the Red Baron who was a famous German pilot in WWI.

They don’t put up Snoopy because they like him, it’s because it makes the boomers emerge from their recliner chairs and slowly walk to the berry fields to die so the next year’s harvest may be bountiful. My grandpa built a Snoopy flying doghouse that was basically a flying wing with an Official Snoopy ‘Merica Shirt on top. He would fly it every year at his RC club’s annual air show against an RC Fokker Triplane one of the other members had. They would do a full-on dogfight. This was a solid 25 years ago…I wish I had a video of it. I’m sure my uncle still has the plane itself.

There was also a guy who had a flying lawnmower that would fly at the air show. He would have someone push it out acting like they were gonna go mow the grass at the far end of the runway, but halfway down he would stop to tie his shoe and the lawnmower would start to taxi away. He would start chasing the Official Snoopy ‘Merica Shirt then it would just take off. I really miss that… I guess the stall speed is low enough for you (preferably someone else) to just catch it mid-air. Same goes for takeoff I would assume so you can just throw it. Snoopy ain’t care about AoA limits.
