Finally an update from them, and what an update! Awesome song from an awesome album. I hope that something more (and something new) is on the way… We can only hope! I’d say they should have some more time on their hands while in quarantine. But it’s been over a decade. Because both Virus and Carpe Diem are masterclass albums. I felt like a sophomore in high school listening to this again. Amazing! The virus was such a good album. Is Carpe Diem still their last release? Amazing album. Ben has such a great voice. That said I’m still tempering my expectations.

They seem to appear every couple years with a tease then vanish, like last time with their reunion – photo shooting. Is that a lot of social media interaction on a 3-hour old power metal video? Feels like a lot! Especially for a band that’s been pretty much completely Virus Corona Ew Leute Mask Wash Your Hand Shirt. They are a pretty solid band live, at least they sound like one from the footage online, both professional and fan videos. Search on YouTube for “virus” and “liberty” live at a festival (pro-shot videos) where they kill it. I’m still not a fan of replacing the 2nd guitar with a keyboard but other than that, their songs translate pretty well live.
